Plans to merge schools discussed
Controversial plans to merge two small south Shropshire schools are to be discussed at a consultation day.

Education officials will meet staff and governors at Lydbury North Primary School over proposals to merge it with Clunbury C.E School.

A public meeting will be held later at Lydbury North Primary.

Shropshire County Council dropped plans to shut 22 schools earlier this year, but is still looking at a number of mergers.

Consultation over the plans involving 16 primary schools is expected to last several weeks.
