Cotehele's famous Christmas garland will be on show
The National Trust in the South West is going back in time to show visitors how Christmas was celebrated at different times in history.

Lanhydrock House near Bodmin will be filled with the sound of Victorian music over the weekend. There will also be a historical menu.

At Trerice near Newquay there will be Tudor themed decorations as well as medieval music.

And at Buckland Abbey near Yelverton the theme will be Elizabethan.

Killerton near Exeter has been decorated by volunteers and house staff in an Edwardian style while visitors to Cotehele near Saltash will be able to see the famous Christmas garland, which runs the length of the Great Hall.
