  • Police may be able to force rowdy pubs and clubs to search customers for knives and guns

    BACKGROUND
    This legislation is based on the 'Drinking Responsibly' proposals published in January, to effect a culture change in binge drinking and alcohol-fuelled behaviour.

    It also responds to crime figures showing a growing number of offences involving imitation firearms.
