 It is hoped to set up a joint project for both islands | An investigation into whether Jersey and Guernsey could share a waste facility is nearing completion. A joint team from both islands has been researching the project for a month as part of an overall rethink about how the islands can deal with their waste. Jersey is currently the preferred location for a shared plant. For Guernsey, it is thought the idea may provide an alternative to the proposed Waste to Energy incinerator at Long Hougue and save money.
