Residents take on vandals
Jersey people are pulling together to fight vandalism.

People living in Clos Gosset and Gordon le Breton Close have formed a residents association.

They hope that it will tackle unsocial behaviour after the success of another scheme in Grands Vaux.

The Grands Vaux scheme was an attempt to cut the amount of vandalism in the area and improve the estates' appearance.

Housing maintenance manager Carl Mavity said he was looking forward to working with residents.

He said: "There is a good deal of work involved for the people themselves.

"But I hope what will happen in the coming weeks is that we will get some people from the estates coming forward, offering themselves as committee members of the residents association."
