Planners discuss 7m airport revamp
Jersey Airport
The operations centre forms part of the Arrivals building
Proposals to build a new staff building and control tower at Jersey's airport are being discussed by the planning committee on Wednesday.

The Harbours and Airport Committee is asking for more room for its staff.

It is the third time it has applied for permission to move out of the 1937 building.

The new building would replace the current operations centre, which forms part of the Arrivals building in the oldest part of the airport.

The current building has been described as a rabbit warren.

Concerns have also been raised that asbestos could be present.

It is thought the project would cost about 6.8m.
