The work finished in May |
No accidents have been caused by speed at a one-time blackspot since the road was changed, the Isle of Man government has said. The newly realigned Brandish Corner, which forms part of the TT course, does not have a speed limit.
Onchan Commissioners had raised concerns about speeding vehicles.
But the government said that since it opened in May, there had been no accidents at Brandish or Hillberry caused by inappropriate speed.
Bruce Hannay, director of highways, said: "The realigned Brandish Corner was designed so that motorists could travel around the corner in safety, as appropriate for the road.
"Hillberry is within a 40mph speed limit and the department is not aware of any accidents caused by inappropriate speed, either at Brandish or Hillberry, since Brandish was realigned.
"There is no speed limit at Brandish, except during TT and Manx Grand Prix periods, when temporary speed limits are brought in because of the extra volume of traffic on this section of the TT circuit."
