Airport firefighters pay row ends
Guernsey Airport is operating as normal again after a pay dispute by firefighters was resolved on Friday.

Independent arbitrators Acas ruled in favour of about 30 firefighters who wanted a pay increase in line with the cost of living.

The firefighters have not been working overtime although medical emergencies have been covered.

More than 400 passengers suffered cancelled flights at the weekend and the airline Flybe threatened to sue.

Airport director Colin Le Ray, said: "We are very relieved. The airport is open as normal and we can get down to restoring relations with firefighters."
