'Pressure' to halt fire dispute
Guernsey airport officials are refusing to comment on allegations they pressured firefighters to end industrial action.

At least four meetings have taken place over the last week to try to resolve the dispute over firefighters' pay.

Airport managers met the firefighters last Saturday, but excluded members of the TGWU union.

Brigade staff say they feel under pressure and unfairly represented and have refused to end the dispute.

A management spokesperson says they believe it is unwise to comment as an independent industrial tribunal by arbitrators Acas is set for Friday.
