Pay deal may attract more police
A new pay deal for Guernsey's police officers could help solve ongoing problems with recruitment.

The island's force is currently about 30 people short of its full compliment of 177 officers.

The pay package includes bonuses which it is hoped will help to retain existing staff, and incentives which may attract new recruits.

But Chief Officer George Le Page admits meeting his target of 20 new officers this year will still be tough.
