Pubs told to help stop disorder
Pub landlords in Guernsey are being urged to play their part in tackling the problem of drunkenness and disorder in St Peter Port.

In just two nights over the Easter weekend, 24 arrests were made in town during a policing initiative known as Operation Drinkwise.

Sergeant Andy Whitton, of Guernsey Police, claims licensees must shoulder some of the responsibility themselves.

He says landlords should prevent people getting too drunk on their premises.
