Rival airlines to compete on route
Rockhopper
Rockhopper used to be known as Le Cocq's Airlink
Competition between two rival Channel Island airlines is set to increase.

The firm Rockhopper, formerly known as Le Cocq's Airlink, is voicing its opposition to the decision to allow Aurigny to compete with it on the Guernsey to Bournemouth route.

Rockhopper's chairman, Noel Hayes, says the Guernsey Transport Board's decision to award Aurigny the licence, shows the Board is moving towards an open-skies policy.

But Mr Hayes argues the Guernsey to Bournemouth route can only support one operator.
