Alderney's States to meet
The States of Alderney
Plans to renovate the Island Hall are on the agenda
A number of issues affecting Alderney residents will be up for debate at the island's latest States meeting.

It is being held on Wednesday evening at 1730 BST.

The House will be asked to approve the renovation and conversion of the Island Hall so Alderney's States can use it for office accommodation.

In order for the plan to go ahead it will have to agree to spend a sum of 760,000 to cover the overall costs.

Also on the agenda are proposals to ensure the island's legal aid provision is in line with new Human Rights laws and a possible review of a parking strategy for St Anne.

The States will also be asked to approve the terms of a draft lease with Alderney's library and a change to the new dwellings profit tax.
