President seeks to improve island links
States of Alderney
The States president has issued a newsletter to improve links
Increased communication between Guernsey and Alderney could have benefits all round, according to the president of Alderney's States.

Sir Norman Browse said that, while Guernsey was considering changes to its governmental constitution, it provided a perfect opportunity to improve links between the islands.

He felt, if Alderney was represented on the main committees, communication and information flow could only improve as a result.

He has also published a newsletter since taking over his post to help improve communication between the States and the islanders.

"The newsletters have been well-received," he said.

"The population generally feels it is nice to be told."
