Captain's safe return is 'priority'

A US captain being held hostage in a lifeboat by Somali pirates "remains unharmed", a spokesman for his employer, the shipping giant Maersk, has said.

Kevin Speers also said that the captain's vessel, the Maersk Alabama, and the remainder of the crew were "secure".
