Watch: Storm Bert develops rapidly and lingers over the weekend
Storm Bert brought snow, gales and heavy rain over the weekend, leading to widespread disruption to many parts of the United Kingdom.
Starting as an area of low pressure in the mid-Atlantic on Friday, it underwent explosive cyclogenesis, with the pressure dropping more than 24mb in 24 hours.
After becoming a powerful storm, Bert then stalled to the west of the UK.
Normally, storms cross the UK in a day, but Storm Bert's stalling had an impact on the weather we experienced.
Bouts of heavy rain came in on Saturday and Sunday, leading to a month's worth of rain for parts of south Wales and south-west England.
Strong winds with gales continued into a third day on Monday across Scotland.
Storm Bert will finally move away north-east of the UK on Monday night.
