Cold snap grips North America

Much of the US and Canada is in the grip of a very cold spell at the moment, with some areas having had overnight lows of a bitter -25 Celsius.

As the cold weather continues across the US and Canada, a deep area of low pressure looks set to bring some significant snow to the east coast.
