At around 0930 every day this week (beginning 15 March) on the Milton Keynes Breakfast show, poets will perform either their own work, or verses written by famous war time authors. Then on Saturday 20 March those poets will perform live at Bletchley Park at a special performance poetry afternoon organised by The Bletchley Park Trust. The selected poems include deeply moving work by Henry Reed and even some poems written uniquely about Bletchley Park. In addition there will also be wide range of exhibits telling the story of Bletchley Park and after the official poetry reading, the audience will be invited to participate in a Poetry Karaoke. Anyone can submit a poem with a wartime theme and, if approved, will be asked to read it out. Admission for adults is £10.00 (concessions £8.00) which includes a free tour of Bletchley Park.
