23. Fabrice Santoro

DOB:09.12.1972
Nationality:French
World Ranking:26
Previous French Open results:
2001 ::fourth round
2000 ::second round
1999 ::first round
1998 ::third round

Enjoyed a remarkable run here in 2001, his victims including Greg Rusedski and Marat Safin before he fell to Alex Corretja in the last 16.

Known as 'The Magician' he cuts a distinctive figure on court, making up for what he lacks in stature with a full range of shots.

His deft touch is coupled with a relentless playing style - despite his veteran status and a recurring shoulder injury.

Santoro collected his fourth career title earlier this year when he triumphed over Younes El Aynaoui in the final at Dubai.
