At 20 years old, Robredo is one of the new faces on the men's tour and one of the future talents of it.

He picked up a tennis racquet for the first time at the age of one as a result of his father's love of the sport.

Last year he relished the clay of Roland Garros, reaching the fourth round following a string of impressive results.

This year he could well do even better, and he was unfortunate when he had to retire injured in the semi-finals of the recent Hamburg Masters.
