The seventh seed beat Switzerland's Marie-Gaianeh Mikaelian 6-3 6-4 to pocket the top prize in Quebec. "She played really good tennisand I tried to keep her away from her tennis so I could play more of mine," said Bovina, who won in Warsaw earlier this year. "I did everything I wanted to, so I'm really happy." The victory made Bovina the youngest winner of the event at 19 years, six months and 12 days. Argentina's Maria Emilia Salerni and Colombia's Fabiola Zuluaga won the doubles title, beating Samantha Reeves and South Africa's Jessica Steck 4-6, 6-3, 7-5. |
