Costello misses Siberian trip
Victor Costello had been hoping to re-establish himself in the Irish squad
Costello was injured playing in the Celtic League

Back row Victor Costello has been forced out of the Ireland squad to travel to Krasnoyarsk, Siberia for Saturday's World Cup qualifying tie against Russia.

Costello injured his calf in the second half of Leinster's Celtic League game against Irish rivals Connacht in Dublin on Friday night.

He is the second back row man to withdraw from the Irish squad in the last seven days.

His Leinster team-mate Eric Miller pulled out of the trip last week with a rib injury.

Cork Constitution forward Donnacha O'Callaghan has been named as Costello's replacement.
