Morris will make his debut two days after his 21st birthday

The Northampton prop, who celebrates his 21st birthday on Thursday, replaces Julian White in the England front row.

The Bristol Shoguns player is still experiencing problems with the left knee he hurt during a club game earlier this month.

"Obviously I'm disappointed for Julian but it's an opportunity I intend to make the most of," said Morris.

"I've enjoyed being part of the England set-up over the last few months and I'm really looking forward to making my debut against Wales."

White's absence is a major blow to England as they seek to build on last weekend's win over France.

Fellow props Phil Vickery, Trevor Woodman, David Flatman and Jason Leonard are also sidelined.

However, England coach Clive Woodward refused to be downhearted and backed Morris to shine at international level.

"I'm really looking forward to him making the most of his opportunity and to blooding another young player at international level," said Woodward.

"Robbie was outstanding against France A last week and he has been part of the England set-up for nearly a year."

Morris will become the third member of the Northampton academy to earn full international hours.
