The 25-year-old will have a fitness test late next week on the injured knee and hopes to be fit for the second Test against the Six Nations champions, on 29 June. "It's been coming along fairly well but the next big test will be to see how I run on it," said Tune. He said the Wallaby medical staff believed his best chance was to be fit for the Tri Nations Series against New Zealand and South Africa in July, but he still hopes to be fit to play the French. "If I can run next week then hopefully I can do a full week of training the next week and give myself a chance of selection for France," he said. Tune made his debut for the Wallabies against Wales in 1996 and has gone on to win 41 caps, scoring 23 tries in the process. Former league international Wendell Sailor and Stirling Mortlock have been picked on the wings for Australia's game against the New Zealand Maori in Perth on Saturday. | See also: 13 Jun 02 | International 12 Jun 02 | International 10 Jun 02 | International 09 Jun 02 | International 09 Jun 02 | International 08 Jun 02 | International 06 Jun 02 | International 04 Jun 02 | International Top International stories now: Links to more International stories are at the foot of the page. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
