Veivers, who has also worked at Huddersfield, looked set to take up a post at Leigh after quitting as Lions boss at the end of last season. He was expected to help the National League One club regroup for another crack at winning a Super League place next season. But the lure of the Bulls, who have been looking to strengthen their coaching staff since Karl Harrison left for Salford in the summer, proved too strong. Bulls coach Brian Noble said: "I am pleased that Phil is joining us. He has already worked at the club in a different capacity, looking after our young player's education. "I am sure, with his experience in the game at all levels, he will add his talents to our coaching staff." The Bulls also lost the services of defensive coach Daryl Shelford recently, who joined his brother Wayne at Saracens rugby union club. | See also: 29 Nov 02 | Super League 24 Oct 02 | English Top Super League stories now: Links to more Super League stories are at the foot of the page. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
