Morley: Expect a few fireworks

Do not be surprised if there are a few fireworks on Friday when Australia and Great Britain come face to face in Sydney for the first time in 10 years.

It does not take much for tempers to flare and I certainly expect a confrontation or two.

I would love to be out there with the rest of the GB lads, standing toe-to-toe with the Aussies.

A lot is being expected of Keiron Cunningham, perhaps too much

But I will have to settle for a place on the bench, making sure the lads are topped up with water every time they need a drink.

I really believe our boys can pull off an upset at Aussie Stadium.

We will start the game as underdogs but we showed in the first and third Tests last year that we can run Australia close.

A lot is being expected of Keiron Cunningham, perhaps too much, but I know Keiron well and he expects a lot of himself.

He is regarded in some quarters as the best hooker in the world and will want to show the Aussies just what he is capable of after missing the Ashes Series.

I also missed last year's games and was gutted when a back injury ensured I sat out this match as well, especially with it taking place on my doorstep.

The doctor has told me I will need another five weeks rehabilitation before I can think about playing again.

If everything goes according to plan, I should be back for the NRL play-offs.

And if I can rediscover my best form, then I may be in contention for a place in the GB squad for the Test series against New Zealand at the end of the year.

That has to be my goal now.

In the meantime, the lads can give Australia a rude awakening by winning on Friday.
