Maroons ring changes
Queensland's Lote Tuqiri could be suspended for game two
Lote Tuqiri scored Queensland's only try in game one

Queensland have made six changes to the side crushed 32-4 by New South Wales in last week's State of Origin series opener.

But the Maroons will not name their full line-up for game two until they know the fate of winger Lote Tuqiri, who has been placed on report.

Tuqiri faces a possible one-match ban for a dangerous throw during last week's NRL game between the Brisbane Broncos and St George-Illawarra.

That could rule him out of the second Origin game in Brisbane on 5 June.

However, if the Broncos winger can serve the ban in this week's NRL round, he will be eligible for his state.

Queensland left Tuqiri's place on the team-sheet blank pending the outcome of the disciplinary process.

However, six other players have been cut from the team as the Maroons ring the changes for a match they must win to keep the series alive.

John Doyle, John Buttigieg, Kevin Campion and Clinton Schifcofske were among those dumped by the defending champions.

Their replacements include four Origin debutants in Justin Hodges, Travis Norton, Chris Flannery and PJ Marsh.

New South Wales have made just two changes to their winning side.

Centre Shaun Timmins is recalled for Matthew Gidley.

And Parramatta's Nathan Hindmarsh is promoted from the interchange bench to replace Newcastle's Ben Kennedy, who has a shoulder injury.
