O'Brien entries dominate
Aidan O'Brien
O'Brien has a good chance of success
The field for Wednesday's Sussex Stakes has been confirmed and more than half of the remaining 10 milers are trained by Aidan O'Brien.

O'Brien will pick from Sagitta 2000 Guineas winner Rock of Gibraltar, Royal Ascot victor Sophisticat, Bach, Shoal Creek, Landseer and Sahara Desert to carry the hopes of Ballydoyle in the Group One event.

O'Brien is likely to run Rock of Gibraltar and either Sahara Desert or Shoal Creek in the one mile event.

Sophisticat will enter the Vodafone Nassau Stakes next week, while Landseer is expected to wait for the Prix Maurice de Gheest next month.

Best of the Bests and Noverre are the Godolphin options for the showpiece.

The only remaining entrants not represented by the Coolmore and Dubai battalions are the Sir Michael Stoute-trained No Excuse Needed and Reel Buddy from Richard Hannon's yard.
