Ulster Club Championship quarter-final:
Errigal Ciaran 2-9 3-6 Crossmaglen

Errigal Ciaran came back from the dead to hold Crossmaglen to a rivetting draw at Healey Park in the delayed Ulster club quarter-final tie.

Crossmaglen were holding an eight-point advantage midway through the second period when the Tyrone champions came storming back through goals from Mark Harte and Enda Gormley.

With only minutes remaining, a point from Eoin Gormley saw the game all-square and took the Tyrone men into a replay next Sunday at Crossmaglen (1400GMT).

It was virtually all one-way traffic in the opening period when the Armagh champions held a 1-3 to 0-6 advantage.

Danger zone

That lead was further enhanced by Oisin McConville and James Hughes to put the three-time All-Ireland club champions firmly in the driving seat.

But if the visiting fans that thronged to Omagh thought their side were on a winner, were sadly mistaken.

After controlling the game in all parts of the park, Crossmaglen's solid possession game fell to bits as Errigal Ciaran's heads never dropped.

Harte was the top marksman on the day with a goal and seven points, and his accurate frees pulled his side right back into contention.

Cross manager Oliver Short cant believe what he sees
His strike four minutes from normal time did wonders for Errigal Cairan as they pumped high ball into the Crossmaglen danger zone.

With only a point between the sides, the re-introduction of Peter Canavan brought panic to the Cross.

When the Tyrone star immediately got into the thick of things, his present allowedEoin Gormley to find space to level the game.

Earlier Cathal Short had scored for Cross while McConville, not having one his better games, nevertheless found the target with ease as he collected one goal and five points.

The winners of the replay will face Ballinderry in the semi-final.

Meanwhile, in the Railway Cup final, Ulster went down 1-14 to 2-9 to Leinster at Pearse Stadium in Galway.
