Teske takes the lead

Rachel Teske made a 15-foot birdie putt on the 18th to take a one-stroke lead in the ADT Championship in Florida.

A four-under 68 at blustery the Trump International course in Palm Beach edged her ahead of Annika Sorenstam and defending champion Karrie Webb.

Teske, whose two victories this year include a five-stroke comeback against Sorenstam, had seven birdies and was at 10-under 206.

She will play in the final group Sunday with Webb, a fellow Australian who is hitting the ball well and finally got a few putts to drop in her 68.

Sorenstam, aiming for her 11th Tour victory of the season, made a succession of steady pars before making an eagle on the par-five 15th and finished with a 70.

Double bogey

Most of the attention figures to be on Sorenstam and Webb, the best two players on the LPGA Tour over the last seven years.

But Teske said: "If I didn't think I could win, I wouldn't be in this position."

Five players had at least a share of the lead at some point on Saturday.

Meg Mallon was one of them but she bogeyed the 16th and then hitting her approach into water on the 18th for a double bogey.

That gave her a 73, and put her five strokes behind at 211.

Patricia Meunier-Lebouc of France made a late surge into the lead only to give it back with three bogeys over the final five holes. She had a 71 and was also at 211.

Webb made a 15-footer on the 10th to get going, and a couple of good par-saving putts on the 14th and 17th holes kept her close to the lead.
