Everything must go

Colchester are trying to erase all memory of former boss Steve Whitton.

The relegation-threatened Second Division side are holding an 'everything must go' internet sale.

They are starting with an auction of all that Whitton left behind after he left last month following nine years with the club.

The club's website says it will accept bids for his training kit, including trousers, shorts, socks and rain jacket - all with the 'SW' initials.

Preston are doing a similar thing with David Moyes' cast-offs - and hope to raise �500.

Kilbane's ad his chance

Sunderland's Kevin Kilbane has revealed that his penalty prowess has blown any hopes he had of becoming a television star.

England stars Stuart Pearce, Chris Waddle and Gareth Southgate cashed in by poking fun at their spot-kick misses in Pizza Hut commercials.

Kilbane, 26, missed his penalty in Ireland's World Cup shootout defeat to Spain last weekend.

But he was on target as the Black Cats knocked Blackburn out of the FA Cup on Wednesday.

Kilbane said: "I've got a 50% success rate now but bang goes the pizza advert."
