Dennis Wise is training with Watford, but the First Division club's manager Ray Lewington has ruled out a move for the former England international.

Wise is appealing against his sacking by Leicester after an incident which left Callum Davidson with a fractured cheekbone.

"It's no secret Dennis has been training at our training ground," said Lewington.

"He lives only a couple of miles away and several of us know him very well, but to say we're going to sign him on a �10,000 or �12,000-a-week contract is nonsense.

"Anyone who knows our financial situation knows what a ridiculous idea that is."
