| Tuesday, 4 February, 2003, 13:35 GMT Stags snap up Eaton Mansfield Town have signed Preston full-back Adam Eaton on loan for the second time this season. Eaton, 22, played six games for the Stags before being re-called by Preston in mid-January. But the former Everton youngster is back on the fringe of things at Deepdale and has been allowed to return to Field Mill. "We will be looking at making it a more permanent position," Town manager Keith Curle told the club's website. "We will have to wait and see what happens." There was more good news for the Stags as striker Iyseden Christie has been given the go-ahead to resume light training following a scan on his injured knee. It was feared Christie, who has scored 16 goals this season and is in talks over a new contract, might be out of action long-term. But the scan revealed no major damage after Christie tested his knee by starting jogging. Town hope to have the 26-year-old back in action shortly as they bid to beat the drop. |
