| Thursday, 13 February, 2003, 00:43 GMT Carlisle 2-2 Kidderminster A thunderous late header by central defender Dion Scott ended Kidderminster's record of losing all five previous league meetings against Carlisle. Scott rose in a crowded penalty area after 83 minutes to thump home John Melligan's pinpoint corner for his first goal for the club. Carlisle twice surrendered the lead in an entertaining game at Brunton Park. It seemed United had responded to the midweek criticism levelled at them by manager Roddy Collins when striker Richie Foran shot them into a seventh-minute lead. Bo Henriksen drew Harriers level on the half-hour, slipping the ball past the stranded Matty Glennon for his 13th goal of the season after Carlisle's offside trap had failed. Teenager Adam Rundle grabbed his first goal for United in the 41st minute after running onto Brian Shelley's long ball. Carlisle failed to make the most of their possession after the interval, allowing the visitors back into the game and Henriksen missed a golden chance minutes before Scott's dramatic leveller. Carlisle: Glennon, Shelley, Kelly, Murphy, Byrne, McDonagh, Summerbell, Hudson, Rundle, Farrell, Foran. Subs: Birch, Andrews, Wake, McGill, Russell. Kidderminster: Digby, Smith, Scott, Hinton, Bennett, Flynn, Williams, Parrish, Shilton, Henriksen, Bishop. Subs: Brock, Broughton, Foster, Ayres, Melligan. Referee: A Leake (Lancashire) |
