There was a dramatic end as Bristol Rovers grabbed an injury-time penalty to earn a draw with Scunthorpe in a scintillating match at Glanford Park.

The Iron went ahead after 16 minutes courtesy of defender Andy Dawson who scored from close range.

And nine minutes later Scunthorpe doubled their advantage as Nathan Stanton's shot was deflected into the path of Martin Carruthers who promptly despatched the ball into the net.

However, the second half was a different story and a Robert Quinn header halved the deficit just after the break.

Steve Torpey and Wayne Graves went close for the Iron as all three points seemed to be heading to the home side.

However, Stanton was adjudged to have fouled Mark McKeever in injury-time and Wayne Carlisle tucked away a last-gasp penalty to earn Rovers a share of the points.
