Robson lauds LuaLua
Newcastle striker Lomano LuaLua
LuaLua posed a constant threat
Newcastle boss Bobby Robson singled out two-goal striker Lomano LuaLua for special praise after his side's 4-0 win over West Ham in the English Premiership.

The 21-year-old DR Congo forward caused the Hammers defence all kinds of problems throughout the game and was rewarded for his endeavour in the second half.

Robson said: "LuaLua is brisk, he is strong. He has ability and a fizz about him - nobody knows what he is going to do.

"I don't and he doesn't, so nor can anybody else.

"He delights the public and the crowd love him. He has got two goals and had a hand in another one so he has had a fine match."

Robson was also pleased with the way his side continued to press after being held for an hour.

"We were very much in control," he added. "So the game was always for us and at half-time I said just keep going and if we get a goal we might win 2-0 and we won comfortably in the end.

From our point of view there was some very poor defending late on
West Ham boss Glenn Roeder
"After the goal came, it was not Hallelujah, but it went our way. In the second half we stepped it up a bit and with some delightful goals."

West Ham boss Glenn Roeder admitted his side failed to build on their solid showing in the first half.

"It was very disappointing," he said. "From our point of view there was some very poor defending late on.
