African football round-up
BBC Sport Online's Durosimi Thomas rounds up the latest news from around Africa
Using satellite technology, BBC Sport Online's Durosimi Thomas checks out the best of domestic league and Cup action across Africa.

Benin

Jeunesse Sportive Pobe have lifted the FA Cup for the first time ever after beating Mogas 90 in a penalty shoot-out.

JSP won 4-3 on penalties after both sides had tied 1-1 after extra-time.

Razak Chitou gave JSP the lead in the 32nd minute after a defensive error, with Eric Hounsinou equalizing for Mogas from the penalty spot three minutes after the interval.

Ivory Coast

Asec Mimosas have clinched their 18th league title after beating close contenders Satellite FC 4-2 without much difficulty in Abidjan on Sunday.

The triumph comes as a major consolation for missing the final of the African Champions League after losing 4-0 to Raja Casablanca of Morocco a week earlier.

It is Asec's third title in a row and their 11th since 1990 under the presidency of the dynamic Roger Ouegnin.

Asec finish the championship four points clear of Jeunesse Club d'Abidjan who will play in the Caf Cup for the first time next season.

The big disappointment were Africa Sports, who finished bottom of the six-team final phase of the league - the Super Division. This, however, does not mean they are relegated.

Senegal

Amidst a deplorable goal drought - five goals in seven games for the second time this season - Diaraf have replaced Dakar University Club as the new leaders.

Diaraf defeated CSS 1-0 to lead with seven points after three matches.

DUC lost 1-0 to Sonacos, who were at the bottom the previous weekend. Port moved to second and equal on points with Diaraf thanks to another 1-0 win at Linguere.

Titleholders Jeanne d'Arc moved from eighth to fifth after squeezing passed Police 1-0.

Tanzania

Champions Simba SC look set to retain the Union Super League title after beating Prisons 2-0 yesterday.

The Super League brings together teams from Tanzania and Zanzibar to decide the representatives for the African club competitions.

Simba will play the winner between Zanzibar champions, Mlandege and Tanzania's Police. The winner of the Union league will represent Tanzania in the African Champions League next year.

Tunisia

Esperance Sportive defeated Stade Tunisien 3-1 in the Tunis derby to take an eight-point gap at the top of the table in nine games.

Etoile Sahel continue the chase after a hard-fought 3-2 win away at Esperance Zarzis.

And there was a winning start for Club Africain's new coach Mourad Mahjoub as his side beat CA Bizerte 1-0 in Tunis to move to fifth.

South Africa

A certain David Radebe scored a goal in each half for Kaizer Chiefs who beat Black Leopards 2-1.

The win is important for Chiefs who are way behind in 11th position.

Orlando Pirates, meanwhile, kept their winning ways thanks to a 2-0 win over Dynamos. The puts Pirates within a point behind leaders Sundowns.

But defending champions Santos lost narrowly to lowly Hellenic 1-0.
