SA keeps Radebe out
Radebe marks out Paraguay's Roque Santa Cruz at the 2002 World Cup
Radebe's career with South Africa could be over
South Africa have left out Lucas Radebe from their 19 November tie against Senegal.

According to South African officials, they were left with no choice as the Leeds United defender failed to commit himself to playing in the match.

The encounter is scheduled during the week set aside by Fifa for international matches in the new unified calendar.

Radebe had been accused of lack of commitment by coach Ephraim Mashaba and Thursday's omission could signal the end of his international career.

The defender missed an African Nations Cup qualifier against Burundi last month, following a row over his availability between his English club and the South African Football Association.

Also left out is Lokomotiv Moscow defender Jacob Lekgetho, who plays in a Uefa Champions League match against Club Brugge next week.

Lekgetho could be involved in another tie a fortnight later if his club qualifies for the second stage of the competition.

Mashaba recalled Ajax Amsterdam midfielder Steven Pienaar and invited four uncapped local players.

They include strikers Lucky Maselesele, David Radebe and Justice Sithole from Kaizer Chiefs and defender Philip Evans from SuperSport United.

Squad:

Goalkeepers: Andre Arendse (Santos), Brian Baloyi (Kaizer Chiefs)

Defenders: Tony Coyle (Wits University), Phillip Evans (SuperSport United), Lucas Hlomelang (Jomo Cosmos), Lucky Lekgwathi, Mbulelo Mabizela (both Orlando Pirates), Ashley Makhanya (Wits University), Thabang Molefe (Jomo Cosmos), Aaron Mokoena (Germinal Beerschot, Belgium)

Midfielders: Delron Buckley (VfL Bochum, Germany), Sam Magalefa (Jomo Cosmos), Clement Mazibuko (Umtata Bush Bucks), Goodman Mazibuko (Orlando Pirates), Teboho Mokoena (Jomo Cosmos), Steve Pienaar (Ajax Amsterdam, Netherlands), Isaac Shai (Mamelodi Sundowns), McBeth Sibaya (Rosenborg, Norway), Benedict Vilakazi (Orlando Pirates), Sibusiso Zuma (FC Copenhagen, Denmark), Japhet Zwane (Moroka Swallows).

Strikers: Shaun Bartlett (Charlton Athletic, England), Jimmy Kauleza (Orlando Pirates), Lebohang Kukame (Jomo Cosmos), Lesley Manyathela (Orlando Pirates), Lucky Maselesele (Kaizer Chiefs), Patrick Mayo (SuperSport United), Nkosinathi Nhleko (Brann Bergen, Norway), David Radebe. Justice Sithole (both Kaizer Chiefs).
