The Metz striker is the son of the famous Senegalese idol Jules Bocande who also played for the same French club. After Bocande scored Senegal's goal in their 1-1 first-leg draw in Dakar, the youngster was greeted with a warm embrace by his father at the corner flag. In Conakry, the Young Bocande put the Lions into the lead three minutes before the first half interval. Pascal Barizaky of Sochaux cut short the Senegalese celebration when he scored the equalizer for Guinea just before half-time. It was a repeat of the scenario in the first-leg when Barizaky's goal came a minute after Bocande opened scoring in Dakar. Guinea got a chance of winning the match when Mohamed Camara scored in the 65th minute. But Bocande rescued his side with two goals in the last 10 minutes of the match. After his 83rd minute equalizer - which was enough to see Senegal through - Bocande's third came as the match was about to end. Senegal qualify 4-3 on aggregate and face Mali in the final match that will decide who goes to Abuja.
