Hadji set to end exile
Aston Villa's Moroccan midfielder Mustapha Hadji
Hadji wants to play for Morocco again
Aston Villa midfielder Mustapha Hadji is ready to end his year-long self-imposed exile from international football with Morocco.

Former African Footballer of the Year Hadji quit playing for Morocco after a fall-out with former coach Humberto Coelho.

I have missed international football and I retired too early from the national team
Mustapha Hadji

Hadji is now willing to change his mind and spearhead Morocco's assault on the 2004 African Nations Cup if he gets the call from new coach Badou Zaki.

Badou has indicated he would welcome involvement from Hadji, who is currently out of the first-team picture at Villa Park.

Hadji admitted: "I have missed international football and I retired too early from the national team.

"At the moment Moroccan football is not doing very well and the people want me back.

"I love my country, so I will do anything I can to help.

"I'm only 30 and I still have something to give to my country.

"I could play for another three or four years at international level so, if I get the call, I will go back to playing for my country.

"I don't know whether it could help me get back into the Aston Villa side, but I want to play football and I am ready to return for Morocco."
