Burkina to host youth championships
Angola's under-20 side
Angola will defend their title in Burkina Faso
Next year's African youth football championships will be held in Burkina Faso, the Confederation of African Football have announced.

The tournament will be held between 4-18 January.

The eight-team tournament provides four African qualifiers for the World youth championship, which will be played in the United Arab Emirates from 25 March to 16 April.

The first round qualifying has begun, with the first round, second leg matches scheduled to be played over 9-11 August.

Caf also announced that next year's African under-17 championship would be held in Swaziland in May, but the exact dates have yet to be fixed.

The African under-17 championship serves as the qualifying competition for the world under-17 championship, to be hosted by Finland in August 2003.
