Esperance tour SA
Chokri El Ouaer
Chokri El Ouaer retired following a nagging injury
Tunisian club Esperance travel to South Africa next week on a two week training tour, in preparation for their African Champions League campaign.

The North African side, which has played in two of the last three Champions League finals, will arrive in Durban on 22 July.

They will subsequently go to Mozambique, where they play their opening Champions League fixture against Costa do Sol on 4 August in Maputo.

Esperance have made several high profile signings in order to meet Caf's 1 August deadline for player registration.

They include goalkeeper Jean-Jacques Tizie from Africa Sports in Cote d'Ivoire and Tunisian internationals Riadh Jelassi, Bechir Mogaadi and Sirajeddine Chihi.

Chihi returns to the club after a brief spell in the United Arab Emirates.

Tizie is replacing the retired captain Chokri El Ouaer, who created a shock by retiring from football on the eve of the World Cup finals.
