Just a month after winning the World Cup with Brazil, Gilberto showed that he is likely to prove an important addition to Arsene Wenger's squad.

Replacing Edu at the interval, Gilberto immediately adapted to the pace of the game, linking together a succession of Arsenal moves with some neat passing.
