89mins: Sol Campbell is caught out of position but Diouf can only fire over the bar from a good position. 88mins: Another substitution sees Liverpool's Traore replaced by fellow Frenchman Bruno Cheyrou. 85mins: Owen is replaced by Vladimir Smicer for Liverpool, while Arsenal bring on Kolo Toure for Bergkamp. 82mins: Murphy mistimes a tackle on Vieira and is booked. 80mins: Baros almost connects with a volley in the area as Liverpool press forward. 77mins: Markus Babbel receives a rapturous reception as he comes on for Abel Xavier. The German is making his first appearance since the Charity Shield last year after recovering from a life-threatening virus. 73mins: Czech strike Milan Baros replaces Emile Heskey as Liverpool look to force an equaliser. 72mins: Diouf goes to ground in the area after evading two challenges, provoking a furious reaction from Vieira who clearly thinks the Senegal international dived. 68mins: Gilberto Silva breaks the deadlock with a goal on his debut, firing in a low shot from the edge of the box after Bergkamp sets him up. 67mins: Liverpool bring on Danny Murphy for Dietmar Hamann. 64mins: The match has come to life and Bergkamp misses a great chance from near the penalty spot, shooting wide with his weaker left foot. 62mins: Liverpool suddenly up the pace with Gerrard controlling the midfield, and Owen slips when in a good position on the edge of the box. 59mins: A Liverpool corner flies across the face of the goal but Owen cannot reach the ball with his outstretched leg. 57mins: Gerrard swings over a cross that Owen connects with, but the ball flies over. 54mins: Owen miskicks when he finally gets a sight of goal and Henry is soon bringing another save from Dudek at the other end. 51mins: A good pass from Silva finds Henry, who lays it off to Wiltord for a shot parried by Dudek. 47mins: The best chance of the match sees Henry burst clear with incredible pace, only to see Dudek deflect his shot onto the post. 46mins: Brazilian World Cup star Gilberto Silva makes his debut in place of compatriot Edu, who may still be suffering from his clash with team-mate Vieira in the first half. 45mins: The half ends with a poor corner from Riise that sums up Liverpool's efforts so far, while Arsenal can reflect on some good pressure without having made the breakthrough. 44mins: The first half looks to be coming to a quiet end until Henry is booked for reacting to a Hamann tackle. 41mins: Riise and Lauren clash off the ball and the Norwegian makes his feelings clear to the referee. 38mins: Another sweeping move from the Gunners ends with Wiltord, under pressure from Djimi Traore, firing straight at Dudek. 36mins: After a quiet 10 minutes Arsenal go close again with a long-range effort from Ray Parlour that whistles past the post. 32mins: Owen is fouled by Vieira just outside the box, but Riise fails to connect properly with the free-kick and it bounces wide. 28mins: Liverpool finally get a shot on target as Gerrard and Michael Owen combine to set up Emile Heskey, who shoots straight at David Seaman from out wide. 27mins: John Arne Riise is floored by an Edu free-kick but quickly jumps to his feet and refuses treatment, to the cheers of the Liverpool fans. 24mins: Wiltord joins Gerrard in the book for a late challenge on Diouf. 21mins: Edu is the latest Arsenal player forced off for treatment after accidentally clashing with Vieira. 20mins: Jerzy Dudek makes three breathtaking saves within 10 seconds, parrying a fierce Henry strike and then keeping out two efforts from Bergkamp. 16mins: Arsenal are getting closer - this time Bergkamp has a volley from close range blocked by Abel Xavier. 14mins: A poor start to the match for Gerrard is capped with a dreadful free-kick that sails well over the bar and into the stands. Henry is quickly down the other end posing a threat for Arsenal. 11mins: Henry stumbles when set up on the edge of the six-yard box and Stephane Henchoz nips in to turn the ball behind for a corner. 8mins: Moments later Gerrard is late on Henry, and the Liverpool player is lucky to stay on the pitch as the referee chooses not to show a red card. Meanwhile, Vieira returns to the action. 6mins: Steven Gerrard is booked for a wild tackle on Patrick Vieira, and the Frenchman is forced on to the sidelines to receive treatment. 5mins: Arsenal dominate the early moments and a Ray Parlour cross forces a corner, from which Sol Campbell misses with a header from close range. 3mins: Sylvain Wiltord finds space outside the Liverpool box but fails to find Henry with a through-ball. 1min: Arsenal kick off with Dennis Bergkamp and Thierry Henry up front, but it is Liverpool who make the first break forward.
