Fleming keeps level lead
Bond took three wickets for New Zealand
Shane Bond uproots Harbhajan Singh's middle stump
New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming was taking nothing for granted after his side reduced India to 92 for eight in Hamilton.

The Kiwis are looking to win the second Test to clinch a 2-0 series victory but Fleming acknowledged that batting was unlikely to get any easier as the game wore on.

"It's going to be very tough for batsmen throughout this Test," said Fleming.

"You have got to show commitment to bat on a wicket like this and get behind the ball. You've got to work very hard.

"The team that is most committed is going to win this game.

"There's going to be some luck involved, but in between you've got to play some very good cricket."

Fleming praised the performances of new ball bowlers Daryl Tuffey and Shane Bond, who shared seven wickets between them.

"I like bowling here. With the wicket seaming around a little bit, there was always going to be something for the bowlers," said Tuffey.

"With Shane bowling at 140kph, it always helps me at the other end, with me being a swing bowler rather than an express kind.

"All I wanted to do was find the right line and length."

New Zealand: Stephen Fleming (captain), Mark Richardson, Lou Vincent, Craig McMillan, Nathan Astle, Scott Styris, Jacob Oram, Robbie Hart, Daniel Vettori, Daryl Tuffey, Shane Bond.

India: Sourav Ganguly (captain), Virender Sehwag, Sanjay Bangar, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Parthiv Patel, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Tinu Yohannan, Ashish Nehra.
