Dan Cox was knocked out at Queen's by fellow Briton James Ward |
Lincolnshire tennis player Dan Cox has been given the chance to play in his first Grand Slam tournament - at Wimbledon later this month. The 20-year-old from Lincoln has been given a wild card for the first round at SW19 on 20 June. The British number three told BBC Lincolnshire: "I have worked really hard all my life for this. "I love playing on grass. While I'm not a tall player I feel I can move well and use my aggressive baseline style." Cox was knocked out in the first round of the Aegon Championship at Queen's this week by British number two James Ward.
