CI players ready for County Cup

Andrew Evans
Andrew Evans will lead the Channel Island's tennis team

The Channel Islands men's tennis County Cup team are in Hunstanton this week hoping to stay in Division Six after being promoted last year.

All but two of the players representing the Channel Islands played in the recent Island Games so confidence is running high.

Guernsey's two best players Dominic McLuskey and Patrick Ogier are joined by five players from Jersey.

Coach Andrew Evans believes it is a good mix: "Instead of being on opposite sides we will be taking part for the good of Channel Islands tennis as one team and I am confident that the team will play well."

The Channel Island team face Lincolnshire on Monday.
