Watson played in front of a crowd of 500

Around 500 tennis fans watched Heather Watson triumph in an exhibition match in Guernsey on Saturday.

The 16-year-old, ranked second best British junior, took on former male Junior Champion Nick Crawley.

Watson lost the first set 3-6, but her superior fitness showed as she won the second 6-3 and took the tie break 9-5.

Her coach Andrew Fisher told BBC Guernsey: "He's got lots of variation with the slice and different shots but she handled it quite well."
