Guernsey's Heather Watson has reached the final of the Tennis at the Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune. Watson took under an hour to beat her Indian opponent, Poojashree Venkatesha, the number two seed, on Friday. Her 6-2 6-1 win means fifth seed Watson is the highest seeded player left in the competition. Watson is guaranteed at least a silver medal but will meet seventh seed Kyra Shroff, from India, in the final on Saturday to decide who gets gold. Shroff had beaten Australia's Monika Wejnert in three sets 7-5, 2-6, 6-3 in the other semi-final. Watson knocked out the third seed in the quarter finals beating Australian Jade Hopper 6-2, 6-1.
