Tara Moore won the other singles rubber before Watson and partner Amy Askew beat China in the doubles.

The pair were a set down but went on to beat Xi Bai and Xin Wen 6-7, 6-3, 6-3.

Great Britain, who are top of their group, face Chile on Thursday to decide who ends up in first place.
